Does Santa Clause leave your kids gifts wrapped or unwrapped?

Posted by admin
Larkynsmommy asked:

When I was little Santa Clause left my gifts “under the tree” unwrapped, when my hubby was little he says Santa left his gifts”under the tree” wrapped. What do most people do? I feel it is a waste of paper to wrap Santa gifts, and my hubby agrees, so we do not wrap our kids gifts.

At our house, Santa leaves wrapped gifts, but they’re in a different paper pattern than “our” presents.

Wrapped of course! Unwrapping the presents is half the fun!

My parents wrapped our gifts, but I think it was because there was three of us and they wanted to keep our stuff straight. I think they were afraid we would dive for something that wasn’t meant for us.

I didn’t do “Santa” with my child. I wrap everything because it’s under the Yule tree days before the event.

You’re right about it being a waste of paper. I usually use re-usable gift bags, or the comic page from the paper, and then it goes in the recycling bin.

I agree that kids like to see the look of the wrapped gifts plus like to unwrap them. We have always wrapped at our house.

i had them unwrapped as a kid and so did my husband. Our nieces are unwrapped so they can play while my brother and sister in law sleep a little longer, but they do wrap and hide the big big one liek in the hallway by the door or somethign so they are up when they o[en that one.
i agree it is a waste of paper especially if they are really young (under 7).

Santa wraps his for our girls in special Santa wrapping paper. I like it because it sort of prolongs the unwrapping and excitement a little more. Although, he left an Air Hockey Table in my youngest daughters room unwrapped and put together with a big bow on top. This year, i heard that he is getting them new bedding. The girls will likely squeeze into our bed this Christmas Eve and Santa will go ahead and put their bedding on their beds and put a bow on it. Other than that- it will be wrapped.

mine were and are wrapped but sometimes when santa has no time to wrap all them he puts them in a BLACK garbage bag.(also saves paper) I think it’s more fun too unwrapp then to see all the presents as soon as you wake up.

my parents wrap them with my friend’s family’s wrapping paper, just so my sister(10) dosen’t get suspicious, she still believes in santa even though my parents already told both of us last year
